How to Choose
The Orwin Bench takes its subtle curves from our Orwin table range, the right choice if you're pairing it with an Orwin table or simply want that same mid-century warmth in a standalone seat.
The Calder Bench offers a more minimal, tapered profile to sit alongside the Calder table, better suited to a slimmer, more understated look. While benches are designed to pair naturally with their matching table range, they're just as often chosen to stand alone, as extra seating at the end of a table, a boot bench in a hallway, or a low seat in a bay window. Dimensions and timber can be adjusted for any of these uses.
Our Approach
A bench asks something slightly different of a piece of timber than a table does, less surface area, but every joint needs to handle direct weight and regular movement in and out from underneath a table.
Both ranges are built with this in mind, solid British hardwood sourced from British sawmills wherever possible, shaped using a combination of modern machinery for accuracy and hand-finishing for feel.
