The Orwin was designed to solve a specific tension, wanting a table with genuine mid-century character without it feeling stark or clinical. The gentle curves along the top and legs are a deliberate softening of what could otherwise be a hard, minimalist form, warmth without sacrificing the clean, uncluttered look the style calls for.

It's designed as a real, working dining table for family life, not a showpiece to be careful around, built to hold up to homework, spilled drinks, and years of daily meals without losing its character.

Why Trew & Bold

Every piece at Trew & Bold is designed and made by Emily, from a workshop between Bristol and Bath, using solid British hardwood sourced from British sawmills wherever possible, so the timber in your piece has a real, traceable origin rather than an anonymous supply chain.

Nothing is mass-produced or flat-packed, every piece is built to order, shaped through a mix of machine accuracy and careful hand-finishing, and completed with natural oils rather than a synthetic lacquer, so the grain stays visible and the timber can breathe, deepening in colour and character the longer it's lived with.

This is furniture built to be repaired and passed on, not replaced within a few years, an approach to making that treats sustainability as a genuine material choice, not just a marketing word.

Can I choose a different timber to the one pictured?
Yes, every piece is made in the British hardwood of your choice. We'll talk you through the options available and how each one will suit your space and the rest of your furniture.

Can the dimensions be changed?
Yes, every table is made to order, so length, width and height can all be adjusted to fit your room. If you need more flexibility in length specifically, The Orwin Extending offers the same design with an adjustable mechanism built in.

How is it delivered?
Delivery is arranged directly once your piece is complete. Both a standard courier service and a white-glove, room-of-choice delivery option are available, depending on your address and preference.
