Shipping & Lead Times
At Trew and Bold, every piece of furniture is made to order in our workshop from sustainably sourced, solid British timber. We take the time needed to ensure each piece is crafted to the highest standard, so delivery isn’t instant — but it’s always worth the wait.
Lead times
Made-to-order collection pieces: our typical lead time is around 12 weeks from confirmation of your order.
Bespoke commissions: lead times depend on the scope and complexity of the project. We’ll discuss and agree an estimated timeframe with you at the outset.
We always aim to keep within quoted lead times, but because everything is handmade and wood is a natural material, timings can sometimes shift. If that happens, we’ll keep you informed at every stage.
Delivery options
We offer different levels of delivery service depending on your needs and budget:
Standard blanket-wrap courier: A cost-effective option, with careful transport and blanket protection. This is a simple, “to your door” service.
White-glove delivery: A premium two-person service. Your piece will be carried into your chosen room, unpacked, and set up for you.
Collection: You’re welcome to arrange your own courier or collect directly from our workshop if preferred.
Delivery costs
Delivery costs vary depending on size, weight, destination, and service level. As a guide:
From £125 to BS and BA postcodes
From £250 to mainland UK
From £300+ to more remote UK addresses (Highlands, Islands, etc.)
Final costs will be confirmed with you closer to completion.
If you’d like to compare services, we’re happy to advise on both premium white-glove providers and more economical blanket-wrap options.
Responsibility & care
We take great care to ensure your piece leaves our workshop in perfect condition. If we arrange the delivery, we’ll recommend insured services so your furniture is protected in transit. If you prefer to arrange your own courier, responsibility passes to you once it leaves our workshop.
In summary
Handmade furniture takes time, but it’s worth waiting for a piece that will last for generations. Whether it’s delivered by white-glove service or a simple courier,
