What Clients Say:

Bespoke Music Production Desk
Henry Green, musician

Bespoke Music Production desk made with solid ash and made in a workshop near Bristol

“I experience the same joy when I sit at my desk now, as I did the day it arrived in my studio! Feel incredibly lucky to have a bespoke desk, designed to suit my work flow and fit perfectly in my space.

Emily was amazing throughout the process.. every tiny detail was discussed and every decision was made with the final use and finish in mind.

I’m so glad that Emily steered me away from staining the wood darker! I love the wood’s natural colour, the grain, the knots and textures. It’s so clear to see the time, the thought and the skill put in to creating the desk, and as a result, I find it really inspiring and energising to work from it."

From The Workshop…

A closer look at the thinking behind a few pieces from the collection, the brief, the constraint, and the material choice behind each one.

The Thorne Chest of Drawers & The Farrow Cabinet

Bespoke Alcove cabinet designed with slim shaker doors and made from solid british hardwood
Bespoke Chest of drawer made for alcoves in a victorian terraced house in Bristol

Designed as a pair for a pair of matching alcoves either side of a fireplace, a layout found in period terraces right across the UK.

Rather than making two identical pieces, each was designed with its own character, so they read as a considered couple rather than a mirrored twin.

Each with a solid ash carcass paired with minimal drawer fronts and door panels using spalted elm where the character and grain of the timber does the talking. They both have the same clean tapered silver birch leg frame and darker elm tops. Both finished in Osmo hardwax oil for a natural, low-maintenance surface.

The Calder Table & Benches

Table and benches designed bespoke for a client to fit within a custom alcove in a bookshelf

Built to solve a genuinely awkward space: an alcove created by a fitted bookshelf, with the table sitting perpendicular into the room rather than against a wall.

The brief called for a slimmer profile than a standard dining table, so the design took on a minimal silhouette with a chamfered top and tapered legs, proof that made-to-order doesn't mean a standard shape, it means the shape your room actually needs.

The Aldan, Built to 2.8 Metres

An enormous bespoke sofa a custom size of The Aldan at 2.8m long designed to sit 6 people comfortably

Most upholstery is built to a fixed set of sizes. This version of the Aldan sofa was built to 2.8 metres, considerably larger than standard sizes.

We kept the frame fully dismantlable into five sections just like the original chair so it could still travel through a normal doorway and up a staircase.

A good example of how far a design can scale without losing the details that make it work.

The Aldan Loveseat

The Aldan Loveseat, a made or order large, comfortable armchair made in the UK near the Cotswolds. Crafted from solid oak and traditionally upholstered, pictured here in an orange linen and styled with handmade quilts by Eelo & Ider.

The compact version of the same design, built to prove the frame works as well at loveseat scale as it does at full sofa length.

Solid oak frame, traditional sprung upholstery, and a cushion fill designed for comfort that holds up to daily use.

Part of the Available Now collection for anyone who'd rather not wait the usual 12 weeks.

The Orwin Table and Benches

A solid wood dining set in a light filled home made from pale British timbers ash and silver birch giving it a Scandinavian vibe

Built and styled to properly photograph the Orwin range, spalted silver birch tops paired with ash leg frames and finished to the exact standard every made-to-order piece leaves the workshop at. Now available to buy as a complete, ready-to-deliver dining set.
