A place to answer the questions we hear most, about bespoke furniture, the materials we use, and the choices behind commissioning something made specifically for you. New pieces added roughly twice a month.
The real difference between bespoke and custom, where the word comes from, and why sometimes bespoke means something genuinely special.
An honest look at every route to furnishing an alcove, including the ones we don't offer ourselves.
There's no price list, but there is a real answer, what actually drives the cost of a bespoke piece.
Why We Write This
Most of what's written about bespoke furniture online comes from people selling something, and it shows, vague reassurance instead of real answers, prices dodged instead of explained, alternatives dismissed instead of given a fair hearing.
We'd rather answer the actual questions people are asking, honestly, even where the honest answer doesn't point straight at commissioning us. If you're trying to work out whether a piece should be bespoke, made to order, or something else entirely, that's exactly what this is for.
Everything here comes from real projects and real questions, from clients, from people just researching, from the kind of conversations that happen before anyone's committed to anything. If there's something you're wondering about that isn't covered yet, get in touch, it might become the next one.
