How to Choose

If you want a genuine dining centrepiece with room to grow, the Orwin is the right choice, fixed or extending, seating anywhere from a family of four to a table of twelve.

If you're working with a smaller room, or a space doing more than one job, a desk that becomes a table, a room that can't take a full dining set, the Calder's slimmer, more minimal silhouette is the better fit.

Once you've settled on shape, timber does the rest of the work, spalted timber, with its natural dark patterning, gives a one-of-a-kind aesthetic if you want the wood itself to stand out, while a more even-grained ash or oak suits a gentler, more minimal look. We also work with timber yards across the country when something rarer is worth tracking down, so if a particular character or grain matters to you, it's always worth asking.

Our Approach

Every table starts as a single piece of solid hardwood rather than a veneered panel, so the surface you see is the surface you live with, developing a deeper colour and character over years of use rather than wearing through to a different material underneath.

Timber is sourced from British sawmills wherever possible, and each piece brings together precision machinery and hand-finishing, whichever suits the joint or detail best.
